50 Posts and 25 Comics! Milestone!

They didn't think I could do it. I probably shouldn't have done it. But I made it to 50 posts AND 25 comics on the SAME DAY. Woo! Too bad they all suck, but that's just minor details.

Had I had the time, I would have made this blog post a special one. One that was funny and heart-felt and introspective and really says a lot about what this site has been about. Instead you're getting this crap, like always. Not that anyone even reads this blog anyway, so maybe I just saved myself some time.

Every comic I make is special in no particular way, and this one is no different. I had the idea for it about two weeks ago, and didn't have time to make it, so I made it this week, which has quickly become just as busy as last week. So be thankful or something.

You'd think that I'd stop writing at this point, and you'd be right.

Busy Week

Tired. Very tired. It's been another busy week. And while I have an idea for a comic, I once again did not get around to actually implementing it. Next week. (3/5 for October ain't bad, right?)

Hey, so a while back, a user on Newgrounds named Plasma Rift asked if he could use my games in his new Let's Play channel, in a series called "Indie Quests". Me being ecstatic that someone actually asked permission for my stuff, I said sure.

It's now recorded (at least, the video for Feed the Children) and up on the YouTube right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVuaB47BFRw so go ahead and watch it, if that's your thing, and remember, supporting unknown artists is good karma. *cough* *cough*

Now I think that I'm up to 3 or 4 Let's Plays of my various games. None are too popular, but that's still a great feeling to know that at least some people views your game with enough admiration to record it.

Killing this post is a good idea, cause dear lord it's awful. I should try harder...

Comic #24: Hippo Christ

There! New comic! And one that I'm actually kind of proud of, to boot. I just liked the idea and the bible quote I found to go with it was perfect. It just works on so many (2) layers.

Had I not needed a large portion (all) of my two 5 hours flights last week for sleep, I would have made it then, and had it posted last week, but oh well, such is life. I'm glad I got it out though.

Additionally, this is the first comic that has been saved with Comicus (which you can now see for yourself at spiritus-dlbucci.rhcloud.com). The last one was made before I introduced that ability, and thank Science nothing went wrong. Now I can go back and edit/update/improve this one, if I would want to, provided that I don't eat my cookies. Internet cookies. Not tasty cookies.

There was stuff that I wanted to say about Comicus yesterday that I decided to save for today and have promptly forgotten, so I guess that'll just be another blog post. See you at that point in the space time continuum!

Comicus Status: ONLINE

There ya go, I put Comicus online at spiritus-dlbucci.rhcloud.com. Why does the URL say "spiritus"? Cause that's the other web app I'm working on that is not yet online, but hopefully will be soon. I figure I'll just make any app I make available as a "Spiritus" suite, cause "Spiritus" is Latin for "Sprite", and that's sort of my thing.

Hopefully, anyone that reads this (see: no one) will check it out and tell me what they think. Can you believe it? You can finally make comics in my style, like you one have always wanted to do.

Eventually, I will put a link up on this site, maybe. Gotta go now, but I'll talk more tomorrow. See you then!

I Made a Comic.

But I'm not putting it up until Wednesday. Working ahead is amazing! If only I did it every week.

Let's just say that Comicus is looking fine. In fact, it has pretty much every feature that Comic Maker had and then some. I think that I'll put it on the line and on the resume soon.

Oh, by the way, Catch-22 got dark. Like really dark. Like the first three quarters of that book compose the funniest thing that I have ever read, and then it just kills your childhood dog. It's really quite something else, in what is definitely a good way.

Oh, by the way, Neon Genesis Evangelion got weird. Like really weird. But first, it got good. Like really good. Not Cowboy Bebop good, but good enough that I binged on 14 episodes on a Thursday night to finish it off, which is not something that I do on a regular basis. I was on the fence for a little bit, but damn, it took hold of me, which was probably expected from the quintessential anime.

Don't know what I'll watch next, but it'll probably be Japanese, cause that's the kind of mood I'm in. See you next time!

New User Accounts can be Made Again!

Right, so I noticed today that user creation was not working. I have no idea how long it's been like that, but I'm hopeful that that has been the reason that I haven't gotten a new user in 4 and a half months, despite the temporary surge in traffic from Cole Slaw.

Everything should be fixed at this point, so now's the time to sign up, like you've always wanted to! Perks include not having the box ad, and that's pretty much it, but I swear that I'm adding more stuff. Next will be fixing the avatar editing (which I also just realized is broken), and then probably email updates or something.

Didn't make a comic ahead of time this week, but I have an idea and two long flights tomorrow, so I think it's coming. See you then!

RSS! I Choose You! (...to Code Instead of Sleeping)

Very tired am I. Uncaring about this post as well, but whatever. Back when I released "Cole Slaw", someone emailed me and asked me if my site had an RSS Feed that he could subscribe to to keep updated on my goings-on. I said no because it didn't.

Evidently, my past self is a future liar, because my site now does have a proper RSS Feed for the blog, which should announce updates and new Comics and Games and such. At least I think it does; I don't use RSS feeds and wouldn't know.

Anyone who would like to keep up to date on the stuff I do without having to go through the trouble of actually visiting my site can now do so by clicking the orange RSS icon next to the blog title. Enjoy!

Lastly, I regret to inform everyone that I have nothing else to say, so see ya later!

Site Updated! New Front Page Layout and Other Stuff!

Why do I use so many exclamation points in my post titles? My news is never that exciting. I should tone it down to a more reasonable level. Or maybe I could tone up the excitement in my news posts. Nah, the former is easier.

Anyway, I updated the front page yesterday instead of doing important stuff (I need to get my sh*t together). Comics now title the front page, which I like, seeing as they are the thing most frequently added to the site, even though I'm supposed to be a game developer or something. Whatever. I don't give a f*ck.

So yeah, that's all for today. See ya next time!
